Kiwi bogan movie "Two Little Boys" starring Bret McKenzie and the Aussie Hamish Blake was a sensation in its world premiere at Berlin Film Festival held this week. With three screening sell outs the film gave Berlin a different taste of kiwi humour.
A film directed by Robert Sarkies is based on the "Two Little Boys" book written by his brother Duncan Sarkies. It's a story of a binding friendship between two bogans Nige (McKenzie) and Deano (Blake). When Nige finds himself in a spot of bother after a series of unfortunate events involving a scandinavian soccer star, meat pie, ginger cat and a policeman, he is forced to ask his estranged best mate Deano for help. The problem is, Deano is not really the kind of guy you should turn to in a crisis.
Film is released in New Zealand September 2012 but for now be satisfied with this typical kiwi black comedy trailer.
Check out the Adidas three stripes with stirrups Deano is wearing, now that takes me back in the day.
