We are excited to be taking some small steps for little ones

bootiesWe have just launched an exciting new section of the website, TJ's Small Steps.
This is a matter very close to our hearts, as some of the TussockJumper.com team have personally been touched by the challenges of having a premature baby.

This section of the website is all about raising both money and awareness for this cause.
We pick an event every year, which involves plenty of pain, in order to put ourselves in a "pain place" in an attempt to be more attuned to the sort of struggle that premature babies go through. We aim to raise as much money as possible through donations off the website, and 100% of proceeds (after paypal & bank transaction fees take their cut) go to a charity or association who support premature birth.

Our first event, during which we aim to raise money for TJ's Small Steps, is the Amsterdam Marathon on October 16th 2011.

When a Blog can be so much more than a one way conversation

The term Blog has got a lot of loaded connotations and "baggage" attached to it, but if you look beyond the term and see the pure functionality and potential, we think you may jump at it on your TJ Profile.

You have got several options here when it comes to how you want to use this feature.
Both TJ Profile types can benefit enormously from running a blog, and it is fully up to you how you want to use it.

From a TJ Personal Profile angle it is a great way to really use the Privacy settings to it's full advantage and run a closed, "for friends and family only" kind of deal if that is what you are after. This means that only those on your Friends and / or Family list (you can multi select) will be able to view your blog. Use it much like any other blogging site, keep a journal or write you thoughts to share with select others, or the greater community if you wish, the choice is yours.
You can further enhance your blog with linked images, along with media such as youtube.

From a TJ Business Profile the blog is a great opportunity to use it as a news feed of sorts, and directly engage both your connected TJ Network and general users, with news of your business; complete with images, media such as youtube, and links back to your external business website.
Releasing a new menu for your restaurant? Tell us all about it on your blog and post a link back to it on your restaurant website.
